A real-time, multi-sensory art installation that transforms sound, movement, and AI creativity into an immersive experience.

The Big Idea

Have you ever wanted to create something, but didn’t necessarily have the tools to fully create it yourself? Well all you need is a VR headset and you can get started with creating and having those creations become reality.

The goal of this project is to create a VR application where you can create pottery designs virtually, then export those into 3d printed molds or printing the models you made. we can shape what exactly this might be a bit more before the actual event.

The Problem We Want to Solve

Not everyone is the ability to get access to the tools necessary to create pottery, as it requires a lot of tools such as a spinning table, knives, a kiln, clay, glaze, etc.

So the idea is to make pursing creative endeavors more accessible through XR technology, while making it feel as tactile and relaxing as creating art in person.

The use case for this would be exporting the models you create to a creator lab that has access to a 3D printer, to either print out the model you created or making a mold that could be sent to a ceramics studio to turn into real pottery.

The Dream Outcome

The goal would be to create a seamless application where you can upload the models you create and then download them from a simple dashboard. Then you can take those models and make them ready for 3D printing.

Then when the mold or the art is done printing, you could get to have the art you created virtually in your own home as functional and decorative art.

Who It's For

This would benefit people who don’t have the means to go to a ceramics studio, either because of financial means, lacking access to tools at home, disabled people unable to travel to studios, or just people who want to create art in the comfort of home.

Why It Matters

Art can be more than just a hobby for people, as it promotes positive mental health through lowering stress and rewards people for being creative. Making art more approachable like this would benefit society as a whole so it would allow for people to express themselves more easily.

Also because art is a trial and error process, it can also promote less materials being wasted through the art creation process, so not having to use up as much clay or burning as much energy by putting as much pottery into the kiln.
