AI-based Interactive Art Installation

A real-time, multi-sensory art installation that transforms sound, movement, and AI creativity into an immersive experience.

The Big Idea

  • I’ve been wanting to make time to experiment with TouchDesigner specifically (although I have 0 experience with it currently).

  • Let’s build some weird and wonderful interactive physical installation with TouchDesigner (or another tool like it) pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in realtime with AI.

  • Depending on who joins the team we can shape what exactly this might be a bit more before the actual event.

The Problem We Want to Solve

One possible direction could be creating audio-reactive AI visualisations controlled through a MIDI instrument, camera, etc. You can do all sorts of crazy things with projection mapping, depth sensors, etc. The options are only really limited by our creativity, available hardware and time.

The Dream Outcome

We build something fun and interactive we can set up in the office as a really tangible and fun creative use of AI people can experience in an immersive way.

Who It's For

Ultimately developing solutions like this could be something we offer to clients, but in the short term it could become something immersive clients could experience at our office that blends many of our key competencies together.

Why It Matters

  • Building confidence and competence in developing things like this cuts across many of our creative and technical disciplines at Eidra.

  • Right now this kind of thing is very niche but just maybe this could be a thing we become known for doing really well as a natural extension of the more creative work we are well known for already.
